Artist Encounter: An Afternoon With Violette

The Summer issue of Gypsy Wagon zine had a feature article focusing on the art and energies of Violette. Violette has received her own copy of the zine in the mail just the other day, and here are her own words about the experience and article.

"Yesterday I received the Gypsy Wagon zine in the mail from Krystin – she came and interviewed me for her first zine. I’m am so loving zines these days!

They are like mini books coming straight from the artist’s heart. Krystin writes so well and her art is complimentary to her writing that I think she should have her own book! Maybe she can compile several of her zines and make her very own book that way the only person she would have to answer to is herself!

I enjoyed the interview with Krystin – she pulled things out of me that I had not shared before in other interviews – you could tell that she wanted to go deeper and delve into my psyche! Gypsy Wagon comes with a wonderful packet to make your own ATC. That’s one of the things I love about zines– they often come with bits of ephemera that you can use in your art. They are more than just a small book – they are like a creative pinata waiting to burst open with artsy goodness!
